My Travel Adventure
Long before hitchhiking across the country at sixteen, I had a sense of adventure.
Recently, my international adventure travel took me to Ecuador. Everest is highest above sea level, but due to curvature of the earth at the equator, the peak of Mount Chimborazo, to 20,600 feet, is far from the center of our planet. The top is all snow, ice and glaciers.
My guide spoke no English, and I thought was a mountain climber. I once had an ice ax and crampons are used to go forty feet a toboggan run, in Michigan.
